This service may be offered in response to ongoing parental concerns or requested as part of a treatment plan from a health professional. All assessments include detailed reports delivered at a feedback session to help in better understanding the results.
Standardised Psychometric Assessments (online)
Assess ADHD and evaluate problem behaviour in children and adolescents
Standardised Psychometric tools are used to assess a range of behaviours in children from 4-Adult years. These assess the following content scales:
• Inattention
• Hyperactivity/Impulsivity
• Learning problems
• Executive Functioning
• Defiance/Aggression
• Peer/Family Relations
The scores obtained inform intervention and treatment strategies by identifying specific challenge areas to work on. The forms can also be utilised to create progress reports and monitor response to intervention and determine the effectiveness of treatment.

A psycho-educational assessment is appropriate whenever there are concerns about a child’s learning ability or educational performance. Psycho-educational assessment involves the use of reliable measures that evaluate a child’s IQ (academic potential) and academic skills.

Psychometric (IQ) tests measure cognitive abilities such as:

Wechsler Individual Achievement Test
Educational tests measure academic skills:

Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS):
This is an intelligence test that is used quite commonly, and it is a psychometric test that measures the verbal and nonverbal abilities of adults and adolescents. The WAIS is a neuropsychological assessment.
